Adnan Hodzic leaves Bosnian Basketball International Team coach Hadzic calls vetran Ermin Jazvin
Chaos continues with Bosnian National Team as the merry go round of players continues. First they didn't pursue heavily Ognjen Kuzmic and Nedzad Sinanovic, then they go with Ratko Varda former NBA player and Euroleague starting center. They then parted ways with Varda and inserted undersized Elemedin Kikanovic (who missed the last basketball season due to a doping violation) as the starting center. Anyone who has seen Elemedin Kikanovic play knew this was a terrible match up for him. The last time he did play (for Red Star Belgrade) he averaged about 2rbpg in 20 minutes a game! Less rebounds than most 6'0" point guards average in Europe! Elemedin was then destroyed in his two games they inserted him into the starting lineup. Bosnia was crushed in these games and wasn't even competitive as they were dominated in the paint and rebounding. Coach then decides to call on Ermin Jazvin (even though he said when Varda left they wanted to go younger). Ermin Jazvin is a quality center with limited mobility and ability, but he will defend, rebound and play a solid role on the team. The problem is the schizophrenic nature of Coach Sabit Hadzic's reign as leader of the Bosnian National Team. All this back and forth from younger to veteran and back again doesn't help with continuity, vision, leadership and decision making as a coach. It is obvious that even before the first official game has been played for Eurobasket in Lithuania this summer, Bosnia is in serious trouble. Add on top of that the perplexing move of not even giving Adnan Hodzic any playing time in the preparation games, it is no surprise he was frustrated by his experience with Bosnia and left without notice. It is embarrassing how the team is being run and the lack of leadership in the front office and the coaching staff. Bosnia and her basketball players deserve better treatment than what they have received so far.
