FIBA EUROPE U20 B DIVISION BASKETBALL IS HELD IN SARAJEVO, BOSNIA THIS WEEK!

Sarajevo will be hosting the U20 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP MEN DIVISION B TOURNAMENT this week starting on the 14th! This isn't the first such tournament that Sarajevo has held. They were even ambitious enough to put in a bid for Eurobasket a couple of years (even though the facilities in Sarajevo are lacking to support such a large tournament).
Bosnia has really tried to organize a quality team that can compete and try to win the tournament. They even convinced Miralem Halilovic to play, even though he is likely to make the senior Bosnian basketball team later this summer. He is not at 100% as he just finished a long season and had a knee injury at the end of the season. Bosnia has put forth their best effort ever in a basketball tournament for the Juniors, to organize and find the best talent possible. They had a call out across the globe to find expats playing basketball and to encourage them to come back to Sarajevo and represent BiH.
Bosnia is located in Group D with Belgium, Belarus, Iceland and Israel. Israel and Belgium are most likely to form the toughest competition against Bosnia. Israel isn't the most talented team in Europe but they are well organized and sound fundamentally (the opposite of Bosnia) It will be interesting to see if the home crowd will be able to push Bosnia over the top.
Others likely to form a challenge if Bosnia can get out of their group Poland, Estonia, Czech Republic and Great Britain.
